To conduct Seafarers Certificate of Competency Examination at least six times a year for each department;

To issue Certificate of Competency within 14 working days from the receipt of complete application;

To verify the eligibility to sit for the examination within 1 week from the date the application is received.

To issue a Certificate of Recognition within 1 working day from the date the application is received;

• Implement the issuance of Interim Documents of Compliance (DOC) Certificate within 7 working days from the date of receipt of the relevant documents;
• Implement the issuance and endorsement of the Documents of Compliance (DOC) Certificate within 7 working days from the date the last non-compliance closes;
• Carry out the auditing process on the ship management company in accordance with the Ship Management System used within a period of three (3) months from the date of the approved audit application until the final compliance is fully closed;
• Implement the issuance of the New Amendment Document of Compliance Certificate within 7 working days from the date the application is received.

Implement new issuance, endorsement and Renewal of Statement Of Compliance (SOC) within 3 days from the date of the BKIM Director's memo;

Process and issue certificates within 6 working days after the complete application is received;

Process and approve application for extension or certificate exemption within 5 working days after complete application is received.

Ensure lighthouse availability is at least 99%;

Ensure the availability of beacons at least 98%;

Ensure the availability of lighted guided buoys at least 97%.

Process and issue the Ship Registration Certificate within 3 working days after the complete application is received.
