Masyarakat perkapalan dunia menyambut Hari Maritim Sedunia 2024 pada 26 September 2024 (Khamis) hari ini namun Malaysia telahpun meraikan detik ini dengan mengadakan sambutan Malaysia Maritime Week 2024 pada tarikh yang lebih awal iaitu pada 30 Julai – 2 Ogos 2024 (Selasa – Jumaat) bulan lalu.

WORLD MARITIME DAY 2024 – MENARA DIUS API BATHED IN BLUE LIGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME
Menara Dius Api, Malaysia Marine Department (MMD) Headquarters, Port Klang bathed in blue light for the first time since it was occupied in January 2024 as a sign of celebrating the World Maritime Day 2024 theme which is “Navigating the future: safety first!”. The world shipping community celebrated World Maritime Day 2024 on September 26, 2024 (Thursday) today, but Malaysia has already celebrated the occasion by holding the Malaysia Maritime Week 2024 on an earlier date which was on 30 July – 2 August 2024 (Tuesday – Friday) last month.
