Marine Department Malaysia Client(s) Charter

 

We strive to deliver efficient and effective services to shipping communities in order to enhance the safety of the Sea Communication System.

We promise the following services :-

1. To conduct Seafarers Certificate of Competency Examination at least six times a year for each department;

2. To issue Certificate of Competency within 14 working days from the receipt of complete application;

3. To determine the eligibility to sit for an examination within 7 working days from the receipt of application;

4. To issue Certificate of Recognition within 1 working day from the receipt of application;

5. To issue Modular Certificate within 7 working days from the completion of the course;

6. To issue Ship's Certificate of Registry within 2 working days from the receipt of application;

7. To issue Inteim Document of Compliance Certificate within 7 working days from the completion of document inspection;

8. To issue and endorse Documentation Compliance Certificate within 7 working days from the closure of the last non-conformities;

9. To conduct document inspection/audit under the Safety Management System within 30 working days from the receipt of application;

10. To ensure the availability of lighthouses is at least 99%;

11. To ensure the availability of light beacons is at least 98%;

12. To ensure the availability of light buoys is at least 97%.
